Hmm.. Pretty sure I did a reboot test with the new CF card in, as I also removed an ISDN NM at the same time.

But thanks for the input, I'll keep it in mind! :)

Sorry...that was a typo...I meant 'boot', as in 'boot system flash:'
Agreed on the CF card. :)

Hi rcichon, thanks for your comment.. I'm not sure what you mean by 'wanting to book from it', when you talk about the flash card? The card has formatted fine in the 2811, as do USB flash devices (which still work for me under Ubuntu/XP afterwards.)

'cnf-file location' is useful in certain circumstances, but unfortunately it was the firmwares that I was having an issue with. I could've setup another TFTP server, but that could cause issues if the TFTP server was down and the router wasn't. Unlikely, but at £8, the CF card was a good option. :)

If you are using a flash card other than Cisco's, you do run into a problem as far as formatting the card. At least if are wanting to book from it. Ran into that one. Also, I wanted to see if you knew about the 'cnf-file location' command under telephony-services? You can specify that the cnf-files be located on the system, instead of individually on the flash card saving space there, or you can even specify an external TFTP server. Just thought I would throw that one out there...

Well, I didn't realise we had a card reader until I hap-hazardly dug one out of the rack yesterday!

You have to admit though; it's a massive failure on Cisco's behalf!
